Cristina trained as a plastic artist at the Faculty of Fine Art at the Complutense University in Madrid, specializing in drawing and engravings. Afterwards she received training in other artistic disciplines like graphic design at the European Institute of Design and illustration at the ‘Escuela de Arte Diez’ both in Madrid and at the International School Sarmede in Italy where she learned from the illustrator Linda Worfsgruber.

As a professional illustrator she was finalist of the I International Competition of Children’s Illustrated Album of Grand Canary (2006), cooperates in the design of the History Museum “Memoria de Andalucía” in Granada (2009), collaborates in diverse projects:II Edition of Postales desde el Limbo (2012), magazine EDUCACIÓN Y BIBLIOTECA (2011), Creation of and participation in the artistic fanzine ENTRE (2010), Cooperation in the book of short stories “Micromerón”, written by José María García (2009) and also intervenes in several group exhibitions like “Ilustra Teatro” (Vicenza, Italia, 2010) and  “Venezia Domani” (Escuola di Sármede, Italia, 2009). Currently she regularly illustrates little great stories published on the digital magazine VozEd.


Alongside her experience as an illustrator, she works as an educator for plastic art expression with children aged 4 to 11 specializing in recent years in children aged 4 to 9 years at Parla’s cultural centre “Jaime Salom” in Madrid.

Currently she is working on a project conducting plastic workshops for children based on nature. She carries out this project called “La cabaña mágica” (The magic Cabin) together with her friend and colleague Esther Carazo Manso.

Recently Cristina embarked on a new career path as an energetic therapist. She has taken courses in Reiki and sound therapy and currently volunteers for the Fundación Sauce conducting Reiki sessions to ICU patients of the hospital Ramón y Cajal.
